Better yet, get some larger volume space bags. They're sturdier than trash bags. Make sure the luggage is clean and dry, put them in the bags and suck out the air. If they're sealed well, that will keep the humidity out.

We did custom closets in our home the day we moved in. We had the top of the shelving stop maybe 1.5 to 2ft BELOW the ceiling specifically so we could put luggage, comforters, pillows, etc up there. Out of the way, but easily accessible with a step ladder. And it looks tidy. sort of like this example:

Yes, we have an attic. No, I don't like our senior citizen selves going up there.

Something like that might work. May I ask how tall your ceiling are? Our closet are only 8' tall.

Otherwise if you have any closets that go up and under the wall, I'd be inclined to open the wall and add some doors and house them up there.
There is potential under the stairs. Good idea, thank you.

Toss them.
Travel lighter.
For me, a backpack is good for 23 days in Europe.
I wash clothes as I go.

FYI - there are no basements, either.

or a duffel bag. You can roll everything and really pack it in. Most fits in the overhead bins, too, if you get the right size and don't completely overload it.

We have a storage loft space in the garage and that's where ours go. Hard sided are just up there and dusted off when needed. Soft ones are sealed in hefty bags. No issues.

Yeah, ours are 10' - I don't know that this would work well with a lower ceiling.

Maybe something like this? Seems like this might be a good set up for under the stairs (but if you have this much luggage, it's time to purge some of it.)

Those advocating for duffel bags and backpacks don't have age-related back, neck, knee or hip problems.

Cement slab floors in much of Florida. Not even a crawl space.
