I am thinking about re-doing my kitchen floors with patterned or stamped concrete. I want the look of tile, but think it may be easier to do patterned/stamped concrete. A vendor I spoke with said I could put it over existing tile, but that seems like a bad idea. Does anyone have any experience with this?

That is some fabulous looking stuff. Lots of links available if you do a google search. This looks to be a really good one. If you scroll down....there is a free magazine subscription you can get on this type of application:
Concrete Patios - Patio Designs, Pictures, Ideas for Painting, Staining & Stamped Concrete Patios - The Concrete Network

I've never even thought of using it as an indoor look. What a great idea.
(I'm going to go back and read if it is hard to do.)

we have a stamped concrete patio..outdoors and love it. restaurants etc often have concrete floors. I haven't seen the stamped concrete indoors, but have seen the stained and acid washed floors indoors. As I stated, I have seen that use for restaurants etc. I suppose you could do it in a kitchen.
