Hi,
We purchased a new home recently, it is a to be built home and we had to chose a lot of things like counter tops , cabinets, flooring etc. We liked maple cabinets (light color) for the kitchen. Initially we were planning to take granite just for the island in kitchen and go with laminate for counter tops. Now we are rethinking to go with granite for the counter tops too. And also we are planning to buy statinless steel appliances. So I want a granite color which matches with all these.

I can't imagaine why you would choose green granite?? I like the cohesive look of having granite that contains colors found in the cabinets and appliances. We chose a granite called Gold and Silver because we have those colors in our cabinets, flooring and appliances. Here is a picutre - we love our granite.

[FONT=Verdana]As a Realtor,I can tell you that homes in soft, natural colors sell faster and for more money in every market, even now. It is more appealing to people because it makes them feel quiet and comfortable. With maple you should definitely chose soft natural stone color granite. Just don't clash. Many people chose to many shades mixed and that doesn't work. I know a perfect granite for maple but don't know the name. I'll try to post a picture of a kitchen that sold a house for 50K more than appraised (yes in this market). [/FONT]
Thanks for all ur suggestions. It wud b gr8 if anyone can post some pics with light and dark granite with maple cabinets. That wud really help me to decide which one to go with.
