I thought it might be fun to keep a running thread on this seasons show...
New judges this year.... Genevieve Gorder and Candice Olsen are joining Vern Yip. From my point of view, I'm just glad they dumped the other two ladies. They were talented in their fields, but I think the best judges would be the people who already are design stars on tv.
Anywhoo... let's post our thoughts, observations, irritations, etc. throughout the contest. And as we go along, perhaps who we'd each like to see win and why.
-sigh- these shows are fun, but so not real-life, it makes my job a lot harder, seriously!
Clients expect the same results in the same time frame, these shows create problems for us real-life interior designers.
I don't pay attention to the time frames they put the contestants under... or the shows themselves.. I don't feel that's realistic.
I am a decorative finisher and redesigner, so I enjoy watching the ideas and talent... and I go crazy when I see the designers acting like anyone can be a decorative finisher just because they can open a can and hold a sponge! lol
