I was lucky enough to find two fake brass chandeliers. I'm going to spray paint them, but I can't decide what would look the best: oil rubbed bronze, flat black, brushed nickel, or ??? My house is traditional, wheat colored walls, some black accents, and has brushed nickel in the kitchen. They will probably hang in the dining room and kitchen. Thanks for your input!
Since I ordered brushed nickel cabinet hardware this week, I went ahead and painted it "brushed nickel." If I hadn't been trying to pull of the nickel theme, I definetely like black (looks old, which I like.) Anyhow, it turned out really nice. Thanks for your input!

I will if you give me directions how to do it!!! I'm not too technically savvy. My photos are on an SD card and I can put it in my laptop. Other than that...???
Thank you for your interest and intructions. Here are the before and after photos of my cheap brass chandelier painted "brushed nickel." The trick is to apply thin, thin coats of spray. -cityflair

Your project turned out really great! Are you going to put small shades on the bulbs? I've also seen folks do this with a modern twist by using spherical lightbulbs. Good job!
South Jersey, I wasn't planning on the shades. Maybe when the newness wears off and I need a change again. Now it's time for YOU to post a picture or link of the spherical lightbulbs. Sounds neat, but I can't picture it. Are the spherical bulbs done without shades? Thanks!
