Honda CR-Z Supercharger Now Available from Honda Dealers via MOTOR TREND News for iPhone
Honda CR-Z Supercharger Available from Honda Dealers - Motor Trend WOT

While the CRZ didn't live up to expectations as a successor to the CRX. While it's fuel economy lived up to the CRX HF, it wasn't the pocket rocket of the CRX Si. While this super charger and other pieces may make it a fun performance car. But over $5,000, is the performance gains worth the price?

They should just offer a NA option for those that don't want the hybrid stuff.

Just throw it out completely and try again with less suck this time, imo.

It's a lame attempt at pretending to have a competitor to the FRS/BRZ.

You are confused. Why would anyone think Honda is trying to compete with the RWD FRS/BRZ? Just because they have three letters in their names including R and Z doesn't mean that is what Honda is trying to do.

The CR-Z was unsuccessful as a sporty hybrid. It would make a great sporty commuter car if it had more power. I think it is good looking and with the right power it might be a good competitor to the VW GTI.

I owned the second generation CRX and loved driving that car, it had almost 200k miles when I sold it. I was really excited to see they came out with the new one, took it for a test drive and was very disappointed. It had no power and the mileage was almost the same as I would get on my 1990 CRX, I'd never buy one unless they get rid of the hybrid and gave it more power.

Yep take out the hybrid motor, put a K-series in its place and call it a day.

I'm already starting to see custom jobs that took out the hybrid setup.

The CR-Z missed the marketplace to start with and tacking on expensive gear with limited results is not going to fix the problem.

If they are gong to try and Revamp the failed CR-Z they should just spend that R&D and advertising money into making a modern Acura Integra/RSX with direct injection and turbocharged to compete with the Ford Focus ST and VW GTI in the Sport compact Segment or make it RWD to compete with the FR-S/BR-Z Twins.
