actually you have to measure the supply at the supply plenum. Meaning 1-3 feet from where the plenum starts. That can have the difference of about 5 degrees more, depending on how your duct work is insulated ot configured. You always want to aim in the middle or slightly more than the middle of the heat rise

Tuck,

The supply at the supply plenum reads 132, and return at the return plenum measures 72. Temp rise is 60 difference. Furnace states 40-70. This is from the med-low connection for heating.

Med-high? I assume the air coming out of the supply registers are a bit cooler?

the temperature coming out of the closest registers is about 120-125 degress. the supply plenum is about 130.
