This past storm I helped my neighbor by snowblowing his driveway. What i didn't know was that there was a huge rock in the driveway. When I hit it the shear pin did not break, but the auger fin bent.

I tried to bend it back with a vise grip and then a hammer and it wouldn't bend back. Any ideas on how to bend the auger fin back?

I'd try a crescent wrench and a long cheater pipe to get some leverage. You could also try heating it with a blow torch and then bending it, but that could weaken it, causing it to bend or break the next time you hit something hard.

Does it even need to be bent back? I've seen overweight people eat just fine, even though they were missing a few teeth.

You may also want to google "The best snowblower and lawnmower forum".
The guys over there are great and live for this stuff. They will tell you your different options.....

You do not say how bad the bend is, or if it is scraping the drum, etc.
