My tub leaks when water is in it, doesn't have to be much. This is a ground floor house. I notice water in bathroom and into hall. The area in hall is wall on other side of bath tub. The water is not soapy or dirty like the bath water but, it only leaks when water is in the tub not even up to the silver circle thing. It doesn't start right away and it's only noticed after you turn faucet off. Where could this be coming from? Please Help

Check your valve(s) and the spout/wall pipe connection!

Maybe not. See if you can turn the spout by hand, clockwise.

Default Maybe not...

the spout is threaded onto a short length of pipe. If that connection has gottend loose it easy to fix -- first unscrew the spout by wedging the rubber coated ends of pliers into to spout, then inspect te pipe, tighten and do same with spout.

Modern bath tun valves are behind an escution -- remove that a couple of screws to assess whether the valve shows evidence of leakage.

Does your wall not have a plumbing access panel from behind?

Really? What the dickens is it, an internal pipe wrench? How would one fix a bathtub drain with it? Anyway, it hasn't been established that her problem is in the drain.

There are video's on the site depicting it's use. Yes, it's an internal type pipe wrench AND an installation tool.

The drain is a very common leak on bathtubs and in most cases repairable from the top - no access panels or underneath work may be needed.
