It's time to replace our 10 yr old 42" plasma.
It semi-works - still has a picture, but not a great one. Missing lots of more current things like HDMI connection.

But don't know how to get rid of it.
Tried an ad on CL - not a single inquiry.

Live in an apartment, so don't have a curb to bring it out to.

Apartment doesn't allow us to leave it in trash room.

Recycling center
There's plenty inside that can be salvaged.

Best Buy will recycle it for free. Getting it there is the question.

Salvation Army, Goodwill, Habitat, etc. Donate it, most will pick up for free. You can take a tax write off too.

Did you try to sell it on CL or give it away?

I tried the CL thing too to get rid of my Samsung HDTV tube TV. It worked perfectly well, but weighed 70 pounds. Tried to re-list it several times on CL for less money each time, no bites, so I brought it out to the curb, tapped the remote to the top and had a sign on it free HDTV, I didn't make it back to the garage before someone stopped and took the TV. People take just about anything that's free. Have you listed it on Free section of CL? Also BestBuy accepts any LCD or plasma TV that's under 60 inches to recycle it.
