I have a favorite travel coffee mug that has a silicone gasket that has now come loose from the plastic cap. I need to find an adhesive that will work to bond the silicone gasket to plastic, and is food safe. I tried a DOW adhesive product that is listed as food safe but it didn't bond. Any suggestions?

Food safe silicon uses acetic acid as the curing agent. Everything else in it is inert.

Allegedly... **once cured** "Gorilla Glue" is safe.
