I'm in central Jersey looking for an estimate for a shower install. I have glass tile with glass block for the entrance(outer wall), the shower pan and floor tile. The cost will need to include the installation of the the shower head and faucets and removal of the tub. We are doing the rest of the demo and putting in the backerboard (with the exception of where the the shower head and faucets are. We have all the tile, pan, glass block, mud-adhesive and shower apparatus. We are not moving any plumbing. Just need the labor, Does anyone know how much this may be? Fair bids are hard to come by here because of Sandy and the fact that the job is small.

Well I do not know the rates up your way, but if you are removing a tub and changing to a shower then there is plumbing waste and water lines being relocated..

I belong to a BNI group in my area maybe some listed here can help you..

Does anyone know how much this may be?
Including the second time it gets done?
About as 50% more than if you returned all your purchases to Lowes and hired it all done as one package.

Want to save a few pennies?
Do the demo work down to the studs and floor joists and then step back.

Have the plumber do the water and waste lines and supply the faucet and all the other fittings that
you'll expect them to warranty... then have the tile guy install his own backer board so that he can
also warranty the finished surface quality of the tile and glass he will also furnish.
