It's somewhat vague; but, due to the potential ramifications I'm guessing this is something no one expected.

But like any "new" product that comes to market there's always mis-marketing, mis-handling/installation, and lack of long-term studies into certain types of concerns, precautions, and effectiveness.
It's definitely news to me- I'm sure there will be (if not already) lawsuits to follow. Product liability suits are, or can be, quite interesting.

Interesting that complaints appear to be recent after the product being in use for 30 years. Sounds like there's a possible issue during installation and curing. I personally think it's a great product for R value, but draft reduction as well.

It was my understanding that Western Europe doesn't have an inherent abuse of law as we do in the US, but I'm sure that's a thread above my pay grade.
