Treatment is to attract to bait or to get the termites when they return to seek moisture back in the ground.Termites often can enter thru small cracks where their tunnels do not exist also. Of course they are different types of termites and treatment differ. Fumagation is usually reserve for certain types that do not travel from wood back to ground for moisture.

I'm not familier with your area but if you have the subterranean type you have one of the more destructive types however one of the more controllable ones. While baiting stations may be effective somewhat, they're more a reason for the exterminator to make frequent "check" visits to your home.

You want a product called Termidor SC. Not cheap stuff but is "the" product to use. In the sub. termite extermination world, there really is nothing else even considered. You dig a 6in trench around your house and poor in. Might want to do some trenching inside all those crawl spaces also. Termites crawl through this stuff and take it back to the colony causing total colony collapse. I guess my neighbor's bees got into mine because I collapsed all his be hives. Screw bees anyways. But studies are coming back that this stuff is good for 10+ years, off the record much longer.

For any interior wood and prevention, look into spraying it with a product called BoraCare. Another "standard." This is good for all wood boring insects for I believe five years guaranteed. I spot treat with Termidor inside for particular hot-spots that are enclosed enough for my liking.

I've been involved in buying termite real estate at auction for my rentals. I don't even consider the fact of if I can get rid of them or not, I know I can. It is more a consideration of how much damage they've already done and what it will take to fix it.

For fast shipping and cheap prices google domyownpestcontrol.

Anyways, do your research on all this. Not promoting these products, they really are the "standard" other than one or two generic forms.

Drywood termites do not have tubes: you may have those! There are plenty of localized treatment methodologies that would eradicate them. If you have several infested areas over a wider area then you may need tenting if you have drywood termites. You can google drywood termites for more info.
