A/C is not cooling (heating, vents, cold, best)

Hi, my thermostat is set on cooling, but after couple minutes the auxiliary turns on and it blows heat instate of cool air, how to check my outdoor temp sensor?

Have you already checked your air filter to see if it needs to be changed? A dirty filter that prevents enough air getting to the unit feels like it is blowing hot air.

Check the freon. You could have a leak.

There could be a number of reasons for not giving you cold air. With the limited information you provided, it’s best to have the A/C checked out. Do you remember when the last time you had the unit checked up for the season?

Interesting -- you can confirm that the aux. heat is turning on? Apparently this is possible.

its not working. you should provide more info. how old is it? do u live in a hot climate? get it replaced.

Only a heatpump/HPstat has an aux operation. If the charge was low, it wouldn't produce heat either and an undercharge certainly wouldn't over ride the stat driving the operation into heating mode.

The OP needs a qualified tech on site to get to the bottom of things. I'd guess the stat is miswired or misconfigured based on the limited 411.
