I live in an area with snakes, mainly black snakes; but copperheads are here, too. Lately, I've been seeing a lot more on my walks.

My neighbor is using snake-away on the perimeter of her property. Does this stuff really work? How?

I've cleared wood, keep grass cut, and done basic things to keep their food source away; but I assume they're still out there.

Q. Does snake-away really work ??

A. Nope, it uses the same substance that moth balls are made from and they don't work either.

Im surprised need says that mothballs dont work. They have always worked for me, granted you have to use an entire box not just a few.

they work - if they are fresh an used in an enclosed space with little air flow - like a shed or crawl space

That is the big thing. A clean mowed lawn affords easy visibility from hawks and owls, which will eat both snakes and snake food, and is avoided by snakes when possible.
