Hey everyone..

We're just contemplating 2 designs while going forward with our builder - first option is below

and 2nd option is below -this is the "standard" option recommended by builder because he says the living room will gain the space you see outside and can put a couch there..

I am torn.. I like the arch and design but I also wouldnt mind space but I am also thinking my couch would need to be weirdly shaped or sectional to truly achieve functional usage out of it?

Notice the protrusion of living room? It adds a small space with curves but I do like the arch design and its more appealing what are your thoughts?

Personal preference, I like the first pic with the arch windows. The second one looks a little strange because the garage isn't centered under the protruded part of the house, and you lose the cover over the front door.

That double bay looks like a big ass wart! Doesn't exactly make a great front elevation.

I like the arch, too. Maybe the other design looks better from the inside, hard to tell, but I really like arches.

Maybe the other design would need a custom window seat.

The only drawback with arched windows is the dressing / curtain.

I like the top photo much better. You will get more light, and the exterior design is balanced. The "elongated wart" on the right side in the 2nd photo does not even line up with the garage door.

--Did not see that my comment was made above first.

The arches are nice but cleaning them is going to be a PITA unless they fold down inside or are easily accessible outside

I was worried about losing the "extra" space caused by that protrusion in the living room.. but I am thinking what would I put there the couch is too big
