That's how I feel about it. If it's a big enough property and I don't have to look at it all of the time, I wouldn't mind.

Many years ago, at a country crossroads, I saw a headstone in front of an old farmhouse. The house wasn't set back far, and the grave was very near the road. It seemed like an odd place to me.

Um, no! I don't want any type of grave in my yard. And I don't want to have my house next to a grave yard either. There is a middle school in the next town over and the school is next to a grave yard. Kind of weird if you ask me, I would think that would freak kids out!

a grave would bother me a pet or human
but remember no matter where you live there are plant or animal remains including humans
decomposing in the ground and it wasn't until caskets were invented that made things scary

Yes, that would creep me out. What if the departed decides he wants live IN the house. I would, however, offer to pay to move the grave to a proper cemetery. Who would complain ?

I have deceased pets buried in my yard.

My kids' school was next to a graveyard. They never gave it one, single thought. It's just....there. No big deal.

Unless you built your own home, you may never really know what's under the floor in the basement (or even in the walls)!

If you're creeped out by the prospects of a body on your property, buy a 12th floor condo because all land may hold some remains.

It would not bother me in the least. I'd find it peaceful and interesting. I'd probably research the people who were interred there.

My house is almost 100 years old. Someone may have been born here, and quite possibly, someone could have died here.

Both are part of life.

Why not? I wouldn't buy it if the family was murdered in the house. Or, if the house was built on a desecrated graveyard or burial ground.

But a peaceful little grave yard? That would not bother me.
