Anyone know how to clean them? Here's the basic story. My salt/brine tank for my watersoftner leaked onto my Mexican Floor tiles (those big reddish ceramic-looking tiles) and now they have dried salt oozing out of them. I've tried scraping and using vinegar, but it still seems to come back in a few days. I'm not sure what's going on!
Any ideas? Also, should I put some sort of sealer down on the floor to keep this from happening?
It'll likely take a while to get it all out. We used to have a similar problem with the quarry tiles in a theatre lobby. The tile was immediately after a salted sidewalk. In that situation, it was let water soak in, mop, dry, repeat. IIRC, the area near the grout was the worst.
