Default Yes...

You'll have to wait until next year to see it. It happens on Thanksgiving evening on Post Oak in the Galleria. This is a neat event, but I have always thought that it was dumb to have it on the evening of Thanksgiving. When single, I used to like to go there with friends, but now that I am married, and have a family, it is next to impossible to go because of the usual Thanksgiving gatherings with the family. I hope the sponsors would move it to a different date, even a week after Thanksgiving would be better.

Maybe they do it because they know the crowds would be less on Thanksgiving day?

Perhaps you can search this forum for christmas lights - there was an extensive list of where people went to look at lights last year.

I went last year to the Christmas light/walk through thing in Galveston. I think it might be nice for families with young children but didn't find it that great or amusing for adults. A couple of the displays were nice but most of it I want amused. The kids seemed to relly enjoy it though.

Dickinson has a walk-through display in their city park. It isn't going to look fancy like a Houston or Moody Gardens display, but it is BIG, and it is a lot of fun to walk through.
