I've noticed that the darker it gets, the more they flock to thr trees and start their jockeying there.

Someone asked where they go after dark. I know of one place - go to the HEB in Clear Lake on El Camino. They congrate in the trees in the parking lot at night, and they are LOUD.

They seem to really get a thrill out of HEBs. They do the same at the HEBs in Katy on both Fry Road/I-10 and Highland Knolls/Mason Road.

Not as bad at the HEB on Westheimer and Fouintainview but you can still see/hear them.
