I've done driving-around-randomly excursions further out in the SW side (you know, the place the news warned you about) looking for anything worth seeing on foot.

LMAO.. I just came back from hanging out in midtown and decided let me take a late night stroll in the hoods in between midtown and man I wish I had a camera. I could take some good pics of areas that don't get most attention on these city web-sites. It's some underrated areas in the inner loop that I never see on here. I will be getting a camera soon and that will be my mission. Because everytime I ride around real Houston, not talking about from the freeways/beltway. I'm talking about inside the core of Houston you'll find gems all over the place.

I've just moved to the area, and I'm looking forward to doing just that. I come from a small city (town?) and I'm very excited to check out the urban sprawl!

Any suggestions as to what I should check out first?

I'm new to the city myself. Been here barely a month. From Texarkana.

I did this one in Austin a couple days later though.

Then here is another one that covered a lot of ground (split up for load time purposes, I probably posted way too many to be honest)

I've been on a more quality-over-quantity mindset lately, I guess as skill and experience have gone up. Taking good photos requires a little more thought and time, and walking long distances takes more energy when starting and stopping a whole lot.

I can drive around but I'm going to have to get out of the car to take photos worth the while, unless I am going for a motion blur effect.

And I should say that anything I might shoot from a moving car will be as a passenger, not driving.

It isn't possible to 'ride' a car, neither is it possible to 'drive' a motorcycle.

Fekkin retards.
