I've been waiting for at least some rain since 5pm according to forecast. I checked the forecast again and it now appears we'll start seeing snow at 2am. BRING IT! Do it for the kids :-)

Looking at the radar it looks like it's all in the Hill Country and West Texas. Waco looks like they are about to get some snow as well as Abilene. I'm thinking if we get any it's going to be after midnight.

They have been saying later, around midnight, for about a day or two now. I'm not surprised we're not seeing anything right now.

I don't have to work tomorrow so I have no problem staying up past midnight.

Who's "they"? Continental shut down ops at 3pm. The zoo closed at 3pm. Many offices closed early. There would have been no need for early closings if it had been forecast for after midnight.

It is coming really slow I have been watching the radar for over 3 hrs & La Grange & Columbus are getting the edge of it now. Houston has atleast 6 to 8 hrs before we will see anything if any snow or sleet

I really don't expect anything. The weather reports keep changing. At first it was said we'd see flurries late Wednesday night and the main event would begin late Thursday afternoon through Friday before noon with accumulation up to 3 inches. The latest weather report now says it will start after midnight and continue into Friday before noon with accumulations of 1-2 inches expected. The window of time for this "winter weather event" is getting smaller along with the expected accumulation. In the end we may just see a few flakes, if that. All these folks took off work/kids went home early, bought up food, flashlights and generators for nothing.

People here going a little over board acting like they will have no power for 2 to 3 days when the snow if reported to last only 8 to 10 hrs
