If we can have 450 threads about "Should I move to The Woodlands" I don't see why we can't have 3 threads about Carl's Jr.

That's because fast food hamburgers and relocation are practically the same subject.

Right?

Completely agree. I do not care for their burgers at all. That said I am not eating much in the way of fast food any more other than the Carl's Jr burger I had last week. As a result, almost NONE of the places taste any good to me.

I still do like the Chick-Fil-A grilled sandwiches though.

The fact that Carl's is looking to move their HQ from California does not surprise me. California is becoming a much less inviting place to do business, let alone maintain an HQ.

I hate the diced onions they use. I like the sliced onions better.
I have not had Carls Jr. in particular but I have had Hardees, which is pretty much the same company (just located in the south and parts of the east coast).
Their burgers are just big for the sake of being big and not very tasty at all.
I had Hardees on the way to New Orleans and it was terrible. They are nothing alike. It was dry and plain.

Whataburger is NOT overrated. Compared to McD's and BurgerKing, it rulez !!! Jack In The Box is good as well.

Right?
The name of this forum is "Houston" not "Relocation" so in my opinion they have the same weight.

Whataburger rules.

I have had Carl's, Jr and Hardee's (eeew on both; Hardee's at one time had the concession on the bus stations of America sewn up). Only thing they have that I like is their chicken biscuit.

Five Guys is what's SERIOUSLY overrated. I've been twice, to two different locations (trying to give them a chance). I won't be back.

Smashburger = meh. Ok I guess. Kind of like Starbucks--for hamburgers. Take themselves waaaaaay too seriously.

Mickey D's, Burger King, and Jack in the Box---well, if you must, when you must...

Are Smashburger and Five Guys actually considered "fast food" around here?

Jack in the Box (HQ in San Diego) is great in San Diego. I think it tastes like cr*p around here. The QC and CS of their franchises are awful.

Here is the deal with real Whataburger appreciation. Whataburger is a true Texas Style of burger. Meaning no ketchup/catsup and only coming with cheese, mustard, lettuce , tomato, pickles, onions , and optional jalapenos(a must for me). Alot of people here in the forum do not appreciate a Whataburger as much as us natural born and raised Texans do because it is not what you/they are used to eating on a burger. They prefer mayonnaise and ketchup/catsup and less vegetables on their style of burger. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just not for me. Therefore, I am a believer in to each his own. So that said, I will probably never ever like another fast food burger better than "The True Texas Legend-Whataburger".

I hate mayonnaise on my burgers and can do without ketchup too.
The best fast food burger place is a franchise in North Carolina called "Cook-Out".
If anyone ever goes there, they are the best burgers around.
They cook the burgers the same way you would on an outdoor grill and pile on the onions and (thickly sliced) pickles onto huge patties.
And they also serve the best milkshakes to wash them down.
