So this thread is just to get some honest opinions and advice. I've been researching the best travel style for me to relocate from Ohio to Houston on may 1st. I'm gonna ship. A few of my things down but would like to know is it better to fly or take the greyhound. I do not have a vehicle. I currently live in a rural part of Ohio so if I. Flew I would still have to board the bus to go to Cleveland, the nearest major city and then get in a cab to go to the airport. Flying would be faster but then there will be baggage fees on top of that and just more expensive all around. Taking the bus to Texas is gonna be a 32 hour trip with stops 3 transfers.which would you prefer?

I guess this is a question more than an exclamation ?/!

As for bus vs. air, it does seem to come down to cost and comfort. Air has the comfort, but the expense. Bus as the lower cost, but much longer travel time I haven't been on a bus in years, but I'd imagine they couldn't be too bad. Comfortable clothes, some books/reading material, and mp3 player would make the journey easier.

I wonder about the ending point (bus station in Houston?) The one in central Houston may be rough and possibly criminal-prone. Others might weigh in on that. I'm not sure if you are female, and/or would be arriving at night. You just might want to have something lined up to make a quick get-away as soon as you get out.
