Yuck. Just no way to do it without a major traffic jam. Commuting to a burb would almost be easier.

its not worth the drive seriously

houston traffic is not something to take lightly. youll be spending most of your life at work and in a traffic jam versus your west u house. so you bests have a comfy car!

Get an EZ Tag and take the WestPark tollway and then Sam Houston Tollway (hwy 8). There will be some traffic, but not as bad as if you lived out (Katy, etc) trying to drive to downtown...that's bad!

Actually, I agree with Houston2010. Take the Westpark tollway and there's no traffic doing the reverse commute, it'll only take you about 10min on the tollway. However, getting to the tollway and from the tollway to place of work will probably take you the most time so you need to try the route out and see how long those part takes. Live close to the tollway and avoid 610 in the evenings.

The Beltway is no piece of cake trying to get to the Westpark in the evenings. In fact, it ranks with 610 for congestion 4:30-6:30 pm these days. Then you have to get off and hit that mess on 59.........

That's true. But my friend was on EldridgexBriarforest and got out around 4:30, took Eldridge to Westpark Tollway and then stayed on Westpark Dr. after to Wesleyan. If you have to get on 59, forget it. Like I said, it depends on which part of WestU you live in and which part of energy corridor you work at, this will make or break the deal. Regardless, commute is not going to be less than 30 min.
