Does anyone know if anyone in Katy, or the west side of Houston, plays team handball?

It's a sport that I'd like to pick up, but it obviously doesn't have a lot of following here in the US, so finding a team and instruction isn't easy. Maybe the olympics will help that a little bit.

There's a difference between team handball and real handball?

I played handball in college but that was 10 years ago...

Team handball is kind of a cross between soccer and basketball. The other handball is like raquetball for those without enough coordination to use a racket. (sorry, cheap shot right back)

I did it at A&M for my 2 years PE credits but played in tournaments here & there, and during my free time. Wasn't good enough for the team but enjoyed it a lot. As long as I didn't bust up my hands.

Same went for racquetball but I didn't think that wasn't quite as challenging. Handball was definitely more challenging than racquetball.
