Howdy y'all

Just wanted to find out if it is permitted to smoke cigarettes at the SLB campus in Sugar Land. I will be there for a short period (contract work) and wanted to know if they allow their employees to smoke on campus ?

Wanted to ask this cos another company I know would not allow that and even had employees take a pre-employment and during-employment drug screen for nicotine (and eventually I could not work there). Hopefully not the case with SLB.

This question comes up often. I have yet to see any oilfield services company prohibit smokers from employment. If that were the case, then half of their employees in the patch would be ineligible.

"Howdy".... "y'all" ? Is that really necessary? It's as though we are living in the hillls or something, wandering around shirtless and giggling with straw in our teeth...

I say y'all in conversation not usually in writing. I started when a good friend moved here from California and she hate that Texans used the word y'all .... so I began to use it for her benefit

A guy I work with always walks by my office (and those of other friends) and says Howdy. Only one of my friends who says that but I don't think anything of it.
