No horses allowed in BL. There is an acreage community called Bridlewood in the Suagr Land/Richmond area that allows horses if you are interested in that part of the city.

Wow. Thanks for the warning.

Isn't that against the law to threaten someone like that? Especially if you have a tape, couldn't you bring charges against him?

Does anyone have any info. on this builder (Caretex) as far as having a house built by them?
I have never heard of them. Just really disturbing to hear of something like this.

Absolutely, we just feel it's better to move past this and enjoy life . . . not that I don't think about pursuing the charges daily . .

We should be pressing charges and filing suit . . . but that would waste even more of my life on this man. . . I just want to warn you all. . . I did file a report, but the police want your first born before they'll pursue anything . . you would think they'd hear the tapes and drive over and arrest the guy . . nope-

Another warning, I would stay clear of - Splash Pools and Spas owned by Pamela Miller-Schmid, also known as Splash Pools - Texas. This person has two felony convictions and a current charge against her in Montgomery County. She has several aliases including; Zappe, Williams, Rice, Upton, Simpner, Merritt. She also has several theft by check charges. Check the BBB on any company you use, but Never take it for granted that just because the BBB says they're golden- that they are! I think Caretex has a "Perfect" Record . . my complaint may still show up, but I don't think so . .

We live in the Commons of Lake Houston off of FM 1960 and FM 2100 on the east side of Lake Houston. It is an acreage community and esquestrian. Lots of horse trails through the community and we have parks on the lake. Benders seemed a little more formal or manicured to me in terms of being equestrian freindly. Our neighborhood is a little farther out, but well worth it if you like the country feel, but strict neighborhood covenants to keep up land values. We have a very active neighborhood association and pool, volleyball courts, pavillion, etc. Just a little more country and rustic than Benders.
