computers are calculators already, you just need to punch in the numbers, generate the reports and present the report as an IT personnel, rather than a MBAFinance dude and that makes all the difference. They'll think you're a hybrid brainiac.
Statistics is pretty useful from reporting trends, managing risks and even coding high speed trading logic.
If you can talk the trader linggo you can be a 'business analyst' or 'specialist', communicating requirements to the lowly IT people. Lots of possibilities really. I'm personally not trained for any of this but real finance/IT combo guys are just not enough so I have to fill in
