We used TexaSpec and it costed us $550. (It's one of the most expensive estimates). They are professional and did a really good job. Also since we were out of state and also in similar situation where we only have about 10 days, they did their best to put us on their schedule.

I've used these guys for 2 homes:

Professional Engineering Inspections, Inc.

For our new home (closing next week!), 2 guys came out: the company owner, who is a an engineers, and a licensed home inspector.

The level of detail of their inspection is incredible. The things they found made both me and the builder cringe. Not that there were any unfixable or catastrophic defects, but the inspectors pored over everything.

I use Larry Andrew with D and M industries. He has inspected rental properties and the new construction I am about to close on. Is very reasonablee (about $300) and does a good job and will answer and every question you can come up with.

Can't recommend him strongly enough
