We will be relocating to North Houston (from a small South Louisiana communtiy) in a few months and are looking for a good location to buy a home - 3/4 bdrm in a developed neighborhood. The new job is at I-45/Hardey Toll Road and the Sam Houston Parkway, so I don't want a commute further than 30 min. or so.

Also, we still have one child at home (9th grade), so a priority is a good school district with an active High School swimming program. Secondly is and active Catholic Church with youth program (Life Teen).

There is so much in the area! I would apprecite any suggestions to help us refine our search.

Thanks for the information. I did have a reply about Klein High School and the Klein area. Is this comparable to the Woodlands??? Seems about as close to the new job. Will be traveling to the area in the next few weeks to look around, but,
How do the academics of the Woodlands and Klein high schools match up?

Also, looking for a home in the $250 - $300k range. I can get a lot of house for that price in Lafayette, LA. Want 3-4 bdrm. Will I find something comparable in the Woodlands or the Klein area?

Finally, I didn't receive any information on Cathoic Churchs with strong youth programs. Anyone have experience with Catholic Church communities in the area?
