So I decided to try the Texas 3-Step for fall lawn care. Put in the fertilizer last week and was planning on putting in the Nitro-Phos Barricade preemergent today. The instructions for application are for a R8A Scotts and other spreaders. I have a Scotts' Edgeguard. I can't find a thing on the internet (including the Scott's site) on R8A. I also tried to map the other applier settings to Scotts Edgeguard with no success. I tried calling them but they are closed today.

On top of all this Nitro-Phos does not even have a website
Does anyone have any experience with this ?

Thank You.

Randy's rule of thumb:

For the fertilizer, use 1/2 of the highest setting. So if your highest is 12, use 6

For the Barricade, use 1/4 of the highest setting. So if your highest is 12, use 3.

I use Randy's schedule too. Have for over 8 years.

Ronnie

Thanks Ronnie.

I ended up calling Scotts first on this one and they asked me to call Nitro-Phos which I did. Their reccomended setting was 3 1/2 on my Edge Guard
