Yikes.

Across the street from the Kroger on El Camino Real.

CHL=concealed handgun license. And between all 3 of these cases, it wouldn't have helped anyone.

No lie. Used to shop at that Kroger a lot. Once saw a bunch of cops at the apt complex across the street and there was a dude face down in the grass. Not moving. Lots of those apt complexes in that area have gone downhill. Many years ago I would stay late at work to flirt with one of the cleaning girls. She was from El Salvador and told me that her apt complex was "ghetto." She lived at the place near Nasa Rd and El Camino. A decade ago that was a decent place to live.

Yeah, almost always crime involves either 1. people that know each other or 2. people that are involved in criminal activity.

On a personal note, I hate guns and don't see the purpose, but whatever makes you feel comfortable I guess.

I don't have a current CHL but I do have guns and the purpose of those is to take out anyone entering my home by forcible means.

Back in the day when I spent time in Houston, I arrived in 1981 (yea 30 years ago), I assure you it had an "exploding population and growth,it is really seeing problems that come with being a big city. Namely, crime".
In other words it's been that already for decades now.

That is crazy talk. The 80s and 90s was the wild west in Houston. In 1980 Houston had a population of 1.6 million and 654 murders, for a murder rate of 41 per 100,000. Last year Houston had 269 murders, even with over a million more people, and the murder rate had dropped to 11.8 per 100,000 population.

In 1981 Houston was dubbed the "murder capital of the US" with 701 homicides.

Clear Lake has always had its share of crime and murders. Serial killers, "killing fields", etc.
