Seeking a recommendation for a good place to buy outdoor furniture. I figure now is a good time to buy since it's the end of the season. I prefer a place close to downtown, but will consider driving if the place is that good

Any Chair King store. A bit pricey, but it lasts forever. I buy all my stuff there.

Most of local stores are grosly overpriced. We ended up buying from Target online with free shipping. Awesome stuff.

We actually got ours from Amazon.com and they are great (free fast shipping). Everything I found locally was pricey, sans Ikea which was nice enough for the price, but they only have decent stock in the late spring/early summer.

Depends what you want. High quality, wrought iron furniture can last generations if you spray them every other year. I have a 40 year set from my parents that looks brand new. I went to Patio One, with the same idea in mind. Looks great with rust preventative spray every few years.

Thanks everyone! I'm actually looking for something that will last. I don't buy furniture often, but when I do I try to buy really good quality.

I'm going to check out those places in Houston and then look at some more online.

Whatever you do, please buy American-made products. Buying the cheap Chinese junk only helps them and their economy, and keeps many people here out of work.

Yeah, I know.... I used to totally boycott Wal-Mart and then realized there wasn't a whole lot of difference between them and other big box stores. The problem is there just are not many American-made products compared to things from China. It is hard to just blanket boycott big box stores, but I do try to avoid them as much as I can.

OW Lee is the furniture that was passed down to me and the maker of the new set I bought 10 years ago. American Owned, but now produced out of a Canada factory....made to last
