nearly every grocery store in Houston. There are a few fish monger/wholesale stores, but they are for primarily local and i don't really see lobsters there or anything worth the drive. I do Whole Foods or Central Market for my specialty sea food

Geeze lobster tail for 20 people is going to be expensive. I would echo what testmo says. That being said, fresh lobster isn't exactly Houston's specialty.

Well actually I was able to find some fresh Maine lobster at 99 Ranch Market for $10.99/LB which is not bad at all. I am buying it tomorrow morning first thing. Doing my research H-E-B got the next good deal on fresh Canadian lobster for $7.99/LB that is a 4th special. And then you have already frozen stuff which I don't care for. As for Whole Foods you can't touch that.

Thank you all for great ideas.....

Sounds good man, you're making me hungry.

Gotta go with either filet or skirt with your sweet shrimp.

So happy you started this thread. I was planning on doing some lobster rolls to celebrate the 4th, so it looks like I'll be heading out to HEB for a few lbs.

Happy 4th of July fellow Americans!

Yeah I followed your advise and go with filet :-) I ribeye steak will be way to rich for that combination.
