Blacks and Hispanics only outnumber Whites in certain areas of the city. Now if you want a city where Whites are seriously outnumbered, go to Atlanta, lol.

I've lived inNortshore fror 30 years. I never went to the highschools and we don' t have a mall. SO I really don't know what they people look like or what type of people are out here. I do know blacks, hispanics, indians, and rednecks exist out here.

I've been baffled by that as well, Kristilynne612. I never saw such concern, and what's so surprising is the majority of people asking aren't caucasian. It's sort of sad.

I'm not Caucasian, but it doesn't baffle my that people color might want to know about racial make up of communities, especially if they are considering moving to one of them. I've lived in several communities across the United States--East Coast, West Coast and South-- and am always concerned about their racial makeup. While I can't say how widespread this concern is among people color, I do know that most of my close friends of color share this concern. I don't think this is "sort of sad." And I'm not sure why people believe it is.

Why do the schools collect and disseminate this information? It should be illegal for them to collect or giving them out the same way RE agents cannot give this type of information out.
