Does anybody know what happened? Heard and felt the house shake from the loud explosion around 8:30 last night on the east side of pearland.

Default Loud Boom

Did you ever find out what this was? I didn't hear it that night, but I heard and felt something just like this last night (2/2) at around 9:35. My husband and stepson also heard it, but we saw nothing. We live in Friendswood right where it borders with Pearland.

Probably an aircraft breaking the sound barrier. Everyone would know by now if it was anything to seriously get worked up about.

Unless there is a valid reason to such as on the way to intercept something, aircraft are not allowed to break the sound barrier over populated areas.

I know they aren't allowed to but I've heard it on rare occasions - maybe twice in the past 10 years.

Garage explosion at the house across the street from Walmart. Then one that sells yard art.
