Dear all,

I will be moving to Houston in July. Wife's office is located downtown while mine at Energy Corridor. We have registered our 6yo son in the British School but have not decided where to stay. Our current plan is to stay somewhere in between our 2 work locations to even our our commute times.

This decision will be driven by the location of after school care center for our son. We are looking for one which provides transportation for our son to and from the school as it seems impossible for us to fetch him from school at 3.15pm daily when our work hours end between 5.30-6.30pm. We also have a 2yo so it would be nice if we can find a place which can accommodate both our boys.

If you know of any care center which fits our needs, please kindly share with me. Thanks!

Have you asked the British School? I don't have kids in private school, but I know at my kids public elem school, one call to the front office and they would be happy to tell you what day cares pick up there. Seems to me the simplest way to find out!

Hi
I have my kids at the British school and as from next school year there is an option to go to after school care close to the I10. That might be an idea.

Dear DutchinHouston, thanks. Do you mind sharing which one? I plan to visit Houston next week and would really like to include this in my itinerary.

So far, I have only managed to find Kids 'R' Kids centers which offer transportation to the British School. Probably due to relatively lower demand, most other child care centers do not provide this service. This is now my back up option (wife will need to get used to the 30-40min commute to office) while I continue to look around for a more central location.

Update from the school: the BSH does not maintain a list of day cares which do pick-up there.

Thanks. We heard that KidsRkids lakes on eldridge needs a min of 5 students to run the bus service to Bsh. They only have 3 right now.
