Well, it's about time. They need complete coverage. I can't wait to see them get started.

If you think this 2012 map is good, wait until you see the 2020 map. Over 120 miles of rail will be in that one.

I seriously doubt that they have all that done by 2012. We're only less than 60 days from 2008 so they'd better get cracking fast. But. I love that map and I'm glad they got rid of those BRT's. Austin and San Antonio need to get on the ball. Therefore, we can show the nation that Texas can work as far as rail is concerned and we geta HSR service in the state.

This is what I like about that map for 2020. I like that you don't have to go thru the downtown just to get somewhere. That's the problem some have for DC's metro system as great as it is. Dallas is the same way except for the one station along the Orange and Green line.

Ah, good. I should be about....oh....dead by then. (kidding, I'm 36 now )

It's too bad they couldn't get their poop in one sock 20 years ago to get this thing rolling.

Oh they will. The way METRO is constructing the new lines. They are doing it segment by segment and will be opening up segments of the line overtime.

We still need heavy rail to the Bush Airport (and that can continue to Kingwood) - Perhaps light rail could go to Hobby...

The blue line should go through Afton Oaks and merge with the black line to form a consistent line from the NW transit center through the Galleria and Greenway Plaza and to keep the Westpark corridor for Commuter Rail only.

That black dotted line representing commuter rail needs to replace all the park and rides. Then, we'll have one hell of a rail transportation plan. Does anybody know if this is the long term plan?
