I heard something about a new amusement park being built in the Houston area not to long ago. Any idea where it's going to be located?

We had a amusement park (astroworld) they got rid of it, we don't deserve another one.

New Caney (...okay...I guess). I heard that Disney was planning on developing something in the Katy or Brookshire area but later learned it was just a cruel and unfounded rumor.

The dino park probably won't happen...but Grand Texas will.

Land was purchased earlier this year and work has begun.

I've read about the plans for Grand Texas. It's going to be a Grand Embarrassment. Just about as corny as Branson, Missouri. They really could have come up with something a little more exciting and cutting edge.

"Grand Texas is what Six Flags would be if Ned Flanders ran it."

You have to go to San Antonio for a real amusement park.

Not really a good argument considering how popular Branson is. Southwest has even started nonstop flights there from several cities. Previously the only option was to fly into Springfield and drive the remainder.

I don't see why so many people think it will be an embarrassment. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is a bad idea. For years people have been saying the Houston area needed an amusement park and now someone puts up money to build one and its not good enough. I guess if you have better ideas you could spend your own money to build one....

Yeah, who cares? It's just for kids, they don't give a darn as long as they're having fun.

If you want some sort of adult amusement park, go to a casino. Or better yet, convince our politicians to legalize them in Galveston.
