The man is a complete imbecile, prone to foot-in-mouth disease, yet he's got that magical R that keeps him in Washington.

He has a gerrymandered district I think in the Piney Woods...very conservative
But his latest foot-in-mouth comment about being afraid of being shot if he help town meetings might help him be rejected...
I don't think any Texan wants to vote for a coward...

How does this relate to Houston?

But since it came up, I can say that since I have many relatives in East Texas, I can easily understand how this man was elected. Most of my East Texas relatives don't have a clue what evolution is and think the world is only a few thousand years old. At a recent reunion, one mentioned that he had stopped at the Petrified Forest in northern Arizona, and proclaimed that it was a complete hoax, and that all the petrified logs had been manufactured and trucked to the site.

It's embarrassing that we still have people like that in Texas, and equally embarrassing that Gohmert gets elected.

The only more embarrassing people are that Mary Lou Bruner from East Texas who was almost elected to the Texas Board of Education, and Sid "hee haw" Miller, our Ag Commissioner who routinely posts fake news and refuses to apologize to Texans.

I participate in various national forums and the above Texans are well known nationally, and forumers have brought their names up many times in an effort to (successfully) make Texas a national laughingstock.
