Any recommended dealerships?
Anyone (either a business or an individual) who can come with me to check over a car before I purchase it? Is that a service you can find?

Sorry about all the questions, but any advice, positive or negative, would be helpful.

Thanks so much

Hey Oliver,

I'm in Houston and have owned several classic American cars (56 Bel-Air, 68 Mustang Convertible, 67 Mustang Fastback). Houston has a relatively big classic car community with lots of cars on the market. PM me directly as I'd love to help with the details!

Thanks for all the advice- much appreciated.

My budget is about $15k, not including the gas or insurance.
I've been looking at fix up jobs, as i'm quite handy- but then again- i'd like a daily driver, so not too keen on getting something that needs a LOT of work.

Of course a Mustang appeals- who wouldn't like a Mustang?! And Chum 731- yours looks fantastic.
Honestly though, I've always had a soft spot for a '63-'65 Buick Riviera.. as far as I am aware, they aren't too hard to find parts for either. But as mentioned, I havet't got my heart set on anything- I'd like to have a look round and see what might be available.

I'm not expecting all the mod cons, and with a 50 year old car, of course the air con won't be great.. but i'd just like something that could be workable as an every day driver, and for the long distance trips, I could rent a car if necessary.

As for cycling in Denmark, its as flat as the Netherlands (I believe the highest point in the country is 100m above sea level) and there are dedicated cycle paths everywhere, which are perfect!

Thanks for all the help so far!
