It's not gonna be news in Houston because it disproves the anti-rail people's idea that "rail causes wrecks".
That story is nowhere to be seen on the Houston Chronicle

It happened more often right after the first part of the rail was done. People too dumb to get out of the way.

I often hear the idea of putting in those bullet trains, like they have overseas - but we would have SEVERAL accidents the first few years.

Of course, it might just weed out the gene pool.

To be fair, those light rail intersections are confusing as heck. I'm a great driver (as most people think they are) and I get confused as to whether I can turn right or left.

When that thing first opened, cars were turning in front of it and getting smashed almost daily. It took awhile before they got it right. They can't really build below ground with that train.

A bullet train wouldn't run down the middle of main street and would require many more safety measures.

How confused would you have to be to wonder why there is a red and white stick and red flashing lights AND a train hurdling down the track to think its OK to just go ? Hope the kids are ok!
