Ive done some searching and havent found a whole lot of info on where to look for jobs. Will be relocating to Katy this summer 08 and need to find a job. I have been a SAHM for 2 yrs and the last company I worked for I was there for 7yrs. How hard is it to get back into the work force and also has anyone went back to school for nursing and if so was it expensive? What are your local community colleges?

Any info would help.

Thanks in advance...

I would try the HCC, Cy-Fair, and Wharton websites: www. hccs.edu, Lone Star College, and Welcome to Wharton County Junior College for more info about community college nursing programs in the area.

The school district is usually looking for good folks and that might be a good choice if you have younger children and want to be home when they get home. Check Katy Independent School District

Also, we're going to have a lot of opportunity in the medical industry very soon. Right now we have Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and Christus St. Catherine. MD Anderson is building out this way along with Methodist Hospital and one other I believe. All this leads to other opportunities in the medical field with doctors offices and such.

I doubt you will have a difficult time finding something that you will enjoy and will suit your lifestyle.

Best of luck!

come to seven Lakes hs in Katy. It is the newest high school in Katy Isd but it is going to be 5A next year and has great computer science quiz bowl and academic programs. (I am a student there.)
