For those of you work in the O&G industry, under such low oil price, will your company still give you raise in salary at the beginning of 2015? It seems like my company (large size O&G service) salary will be freeze for this year.

Back in '09 we still received raises and bonuses, so I anticipate the same

Bonus coming in at 15-25% this year (not even kidding). A lot of bonuses were accrued for 2014 already...depending on how long the price of oil is low this year, it may affect next year bonuses (paid out in '16).

Any ripple effects will start in 2016 for bonuses. It's based on past year, not year to come.

Someone I know in one of the C level positions told me they are revising the budget for 2015 and they heard the bigs are doing the same due to adverse conditions. They will announce it end of January. Nobody is predicting or assuming price would be $48 and dropping.

I wouldn't count on anything at this point until you get it. This are not regular times.

I hope the prices climb back up to 75-80 or so so O&G can sail through and no layoffs happen and consumer are ok too.

Saving 30 dollars a month on gas is no good for ppl like me in O&G when we won't have a job

We still got our raises and bonus paid in Jan 15'. But the bonus was based on 2014 revenue. I agree as above that the raise for 2016 will be small or none, and I would think any bonus would be in the 10% range as opposed to a 25% bonus.

I think it depends on the employer. We don't get bonuses at my job ever and when the times get lean, the increases get lean percentage wise. You learn to go with the ups and downs and the percentages of your increases can get minuscule during long periods of low prices
