How often do you think this occurs? I understand if you are in the middle of a storm amd get stuck but I saw ome driver actually drive through what looked like a lake in the road. I mean if there is a pickup truck in the middle of said lakr what makes you think you can drive your sedan through and make it?

My only conclusion is they want out of that car and with gap insurance it can very much happen. The real question is how could a bankor insurance company prove fraud occurred?

I always thought it was the other way round. The insurance companies always try to pull the force majeure clause and try to cut down your claim

There's people that think one way and people that think the other way.

I know for a fact that is easier for an insurance company to screw people over (State Farm Settles Katrina Claims in Mississippi)
than for an average Joe to screw over an insurance company.

My coworker said this same thing. He said he believes there are some that he knows personally that would do something like this to get out of a car payment.
