When my readers come from Harlem and Tallahassee and Nashville, the first place they go after Whataburger is Half Priced Books. They like the one on 1960 @ Stuebner Airline. We drive past one other to get to that one.

I agree. Although, for the past couple of years or so, I noticed Half Price Books changed. They no longer have as many used books but rather old stock of "new" books.

Have you tried online stores such as AbeBooks, Amazon & eBay?

Half Priced books. I even do Christmas shopping there.

I use Amazon frequently for used books since you can use their gift cards online and never have to divulge your credit card. They are always dinged up, but always good enough (They show a quality rating before you purchase). I don't mind paying $2.99 for a beat up book that goes for $59.99 new.

Half Price has many locations. they are not all the same stock, space, store, etc. Go to several, several times, to find the one that carries the most of what you want.
