Never never never assume that a suburban area next to a relatively rural environment in Houston (especially in a part of town like Cypress and the 249 corridor) will remain that way for an extended period of time. While I'd expect a slow down in new development for the next year or two because of the economy, that area will be swallowed by sprawl-burbia just like other places. The Grand Parkway will only hasten this.
