I'm looking for a 2bed apt that's under 700$ , and it's like finding a needle in a hay stack for one who reviews doesn't consist of rats, roaches, and mold. I'm literally about to go insane, it was never this complicated in GA. If anyone know any type of apartments that are in that price range that's not infested with roaches, please help me out!

Up your budget. If you cannot afford to live safely and cleanly in Houston, move back to Georgia.

No such thing as a place in Houston with none of those at all at anytime. You can only reduce the chances by spraying bug spray and not leaving food out. Your welcome to leave we have enough people in Houston that complain already.

I've never encountered rats and rodents in decades of living in Houston. And family members with nicer homes rarely deal with roaches. In general, houses will be better than apartments, and newer will be better than older, but it is possible to find an apartment minimal roaches. Rent cost will be the key factor, as mentioned above. If you go for the low end, you'll get all the problems that come with it. Like everything else, you pay to get higher quality and what you really want.

Houston isn't Georgia. You can't compare a huge metropolitan city with what you might be used to elsewhere. Would you expect to be able to find that in NYC? Of course not. It really sucks that's how it is... but that's how it is. Unfortunately, you'll either need to up your budget, find a roommate, get really lucky... or move back to GA. :/ GL.

I lived here when I was in college. I never had a problem with roaches or rodents and the price was as good as it was going to get. It's the best of the worst, so to speak.

$700 + 2BR = scary outcome

You are comparing a large Texas city's rent with Georgia's rents in general, which are going to include tiny towns. What are Atlanta's like? Much higher. That's how it works. You could probably rent something nicer for $700 in a small Texas town in the middle of nowhere.
